From the new vanity and plumbing fixtures to the tile selections, paint, and shower design, every choice contributed to a dramatic transformation from the old bathroom to a clean, modern new space.
A Complete Transformation
Before the remodel, the bathroom featured outdated finishes and lacked the refined details and functionality homeowners expect today. Kitchen & bath CRATE approached this project with the goal of modernizing the space while improving durability, efficiency, and visual appeal.
By replacing the vanity, upgrading the shower system, installing new tile throughout, and refreshing the space with updated paint and fixtures, the bathroom was completely redefined. The result is a bathroom that feels brighter, more open, and significantly more functional—without sacrificing style.
Cabinets & Vanity
At the heart of this Tracy bathroom remodel is the new vanity installation. The project includes an Eleanor 36-inch vanity with a quartz top in Chocolate, which immediately elevates the look of the space.
The vanity provides a clean and updated aesthetic while offering practical storage. The quartz countertop comes included with the vanity, eliminating the need for separate countertop sourcing and ensuring a seamless fit and finish. The vanity was installed after flooring, allowing for a clean installation and proper alignment with the finished floor.
This vanity replacement alone dramatically changed the look and feel of the bathroom, replacing outdated cabinetry with a modern focal point.
Sink & Faucet
This Tracy bathroom remodel includes one sink, assumed to be included with the vanity, paired with a Delta Ashlyn Widespread Faucet in Brilliance Stainless.
The Brilliance Stainless finish offers durability and a clean, contemporary look that coordinates with the rest of the bathroom fixtures. The widespread configuration also provides a more refined, upscale appearance compared to older single-handle faucets.
Shower Tile
Tile plays a major role in the transformation of this bathroom. The shower tile selections create visual interest while maintaining a neutral, calming palette.
Shower Wall Tile
The shower wall field tile chosen is the Bedrosians Donna 13" x 40" in Sand laid out in a vertical, straight-set pattern and extends all the way to the ceiling. The vertical orientation draws the eye upward, making the shower feel taller and more open.
Shower Accent Tile
The shower’s accent tile is the Poetry Stone 24” x 48” in Satin Ecru from Bedrosians. This accent wall adds depth and contrast without overpowering the space, creating a refined focal point within the shower
Shower Niche
The shower includes a built-in niche sized at 30" wide x 16" tall (finished opening). The niche is tiled to match the accent back wall, creating a seamless look while adding functional storage for shower essentials.
Schluter Jolly trim is used for edge termination in coordinated colors:
- Cream for niche edges
- Ivory for shower edges
Shower Floor & Curb Tile
The shower floor features a classic basketweave pattern using the Bedrosians Jumbo Calacatta & Jura Beige Dot. The tile measures 11.25” x 11.25” x ⅜” in size and is featured in the aforementioned mesh-mounted large basketweave pattern and grouted in Bright White.
The shower curb is tiled to match, using Poetry Stone Ecru 24" x 48" in matte, tying the entire shower design together
Shower Fixtures
One of the most dramatic changes in this Tracy bathroom remodel is the shower. The new shower footprint maintains the same dimensions as the original but introduces upgraded materials and finishes throughout.

The shower features the Delta Ashlyn Monitor 17 Shower Trim with In2ition Hand Shower in Brilliance Stainless.
This fixture combination adds both style and functionality, offering flexibility with the integrated hand shower while maintaining a clean, streamlined appearance
Bathroom Floor Tile
The bathroom floor continues the refined look with large-format tile utilizing the Poetry Stone Ecru from Bedrosians as well in the matte finish and 24” x 48” size. This flooring choice complements the shower tile while offering durability and easy maintenance—an important upgrade from the old bathroom flooring.
Toilet, Lighting, Electrical, Paint
Toilet
The outdated toilet was replaced with a sleek, modern option of the Swiss Madison Carre Dual Flush One-Piece Elongated Toilet which has a push-button dual flush design. This upgrade improves both aesthetics and water efficiency while maintaining a clean, streamlined profile.
Lighting, Electrical & Ventilation
The remodel included updates to improve lighting and airflow. These updates included removing the existing ceiling light to prepare for a new fan-light combination that is controlled by a humidistat switch. The updated light-exhaust fan combo was paired with White Decora outlets and switches. These changes help improve ventilation and overall comfort in the bathroom.
Paint & Finishing Touches
Fresh paint completed the transformation and tied all finishes together.
Paint selections:
- Walls: Sherwin-Williams SW 7043 Worldly Gray in an Eggshell finish
- Ceiling: Match existing – Eggshell
- Trim/Baseboards: Match existing – Semi-Gloss
